Installing Your MatriKX CTO Plus Filter

1. Shut off water supply and relieve pressure from your 10" standard filter housing by opening a downstream faucet or using the pressure release button if equipped.
2. Unscrew the housing sump, remove the old filter cartridge, and clean the housing interior with mild soap and water. Inspect the O-ring for wear and replace if necessary.
3. Insert the KX MatriKX CTO Plus filter (01-250-10-MATRIKX) into the housing, ensuring it seats properly. Hand-tighten the sump back onto the housing cap.
4. Turn water supply back on slowly and check for leaks. Flush the filter by running water for 3-5 minutes to remove any carbon fines and activate the media.

The KX MatriKX 01-250-10-MATRIKX filter fits any standard 10-inch filter housing designed for 2.5-inch diameter cartridges, including systems from Culligan, American Plumber, Aqua Pure, Pentek, Ametek, and US Filter. This filter is the factory-recommended direct replacement for discontinued models 01-250-125-975, 02-250-125-975, 01-250-10-GREEN, and FX10CYST. It is suitable for residential and commercial whole-house systems, pre-RO and post-RO filtration, food service applications, and industrial process water treatment where chlorine and VOC reduction is critical.
