Product Overview & Application Area

The ATTACK SLX 20 LAMBDA Touch is a manually fed wood gasification boiler for closed hot water heating systems. With a nominal output of 20 kW and an output range of 10 to 20 kW, it is suitable for heating systems whose heat demand has been professionally matched to this output.

The 200-liter filling chamber accommodates split, dry firewood with a length of up to 650 mm. The generously sized fuel chamber supports longer burn phases and reduces the amount of operator effort compared to boilers with smaller filling chambers.

Technology & Equipment

The LAMBDA Touch control system records boiler temperature, flue gas temperature, and residual oxygen content. On this basis, the induced draft fan and the motor-operated primary and secondary air dampers are regulated. This allows the combustion air to be automatically adapted to the respective operating state.

A tubular heat exchanger with turbulators supports heat transfer to the heating water. The integrated cooling loop or safety heat exchanger, in conjunction with a suitable thermal drain safety device, protects the boiler against impermissibly high temperatures.

Everyday Benefits

The large filling chamber and the maximum log length of 650 mm allow the use of longer logs. With suitable fuel quality and a correctly designed system, an indicative burn duration of up to about eight hours per load is possible at nominal operation.

The automatic air control relieves the operator of manual adjustment of primary and secondary air. Touchscreen, lambda sensor, and regulated induced draft fan support controlled and traceable boiler operation.

System Integration & Compatibility

For the ATTACK SLX 20 LAMBDA Touch, a buffer tank with a nominal volume of 1,500 liters is recommended. The final sizing depends on the heating load, system hydraulics, heat draw, and the applicable technical requirements.

The boiler has flow and return connections in G 6/4 inch as well as a flue gas connection with a 150 mm diameter. The required chimney draft is 23 Pa. A suitable return temperature boosting system must ensure a return temperature of at least 65 °C.

Installation

Installation, hydraulic connection, chimney connection, electrical connection, initial commissioning and safety inspection must be carried out by appropriately qualified specialists. The system requires a professionally designed return temperature control, a suitable buffer tank, a safety valve, a thermal drain safety device and a permanently secured heat dissipation.

Notes

For proper operation, dry, split firewood with a recommended moisture content of approximately 12 to 20% must be used. Wet or unsuitable fuel can impair performance and combustion quality and promote the formation of tar and condensate.

The required boiler output, buffer tank, chimney and system hydraulics must be calculated for the specific property. The performance data do not replace a heat load calculation or professional planning.
